VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT:
Civil Engineers (2positions)
THE PROJECT
Municipality of Mogadishu (MoM) and EU-Reintegration program have initiated a technical cooperation partnership to develop a Geographic Information System (“GIS”) based settlement and IDP camp database. The aim of the project is to collect IDP settlement data for all the camps in Mogadishu, and create a GIS database that will be used for guidance in urban planning, development control and support reintegration program. The selected GIS enumerators will be given with initial GPS/GIS training.
TERMS OF REFERENCE
Conduct geographical survey in the field
Produce technical engineering drawing and cost estimation.
Conduct Market assessment on construction material and construction labor data.
Conduct site supervision works.
Prepare weekly site supervision report.
QUALIFICATIONS
BSc in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute
Proven Experience 2year minimums in field site engineers, and supervision works
Proficiency in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite.
Fluency in spoken and written Somali and English.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Mogadishu residents are preferred
Female applicants are especially encouraged to apply
Ability to be a team player is essential
Relevant field work experience is an added advantage
Physically fit for the data collection
