SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organization to which all SOS Children’s Villages including SOS Children’s Villages Somaliland Association is affiliated. SOS Children’s Villages Somaliland is seeking to recruit 3 Field Monitoring Officers who will be responsible for the implementation of the emergency response activities and day to day monitoring of on-going project.
This position is short term eight (8) months and requires someone who will be available to start on 1st January 2019.

Work in close collaboration with SOS project coordinator to assist in the project implementation.
Responsible for consolidation of beneficiaries’ data and Food Voucher interventions
Collection of relevant data and participation in assessments, verification, distribution and redemption process
Active liaison with relevant stakeholders to avoid any conflict
Organize and execute trainings
Provide technical support in the implementation of the livelihood activities by the selected communities.
Present and facilitate in capacity building events designed for the beneficiaries
Reporting of issues and their possible solutions to the Project Coordinator

Represent SOS with local (village) authorities, Govt. of Somaliland officials, NGOs and other agencies operating in the project implementation area.
Plan and execute community outreaches
Weekly and monthly reporting of project progress
Support and assist M&E in collection and compilation of data
Other duties as required in line with your skills, experience and role as well as undertakes any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Follows all SOS CV policies and procedures.


Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences/ Development Studies and Sociology
At least 2 years of relevant experience with minimum 1 year of food voucher or cash transfer and livelihood programs funded by key donors.
Well-developed interpersonal and team skills and proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations.
Experience of working with INGOs preferred
Good communicator with excellent report writing and facilitation skills
