The Information Systems Manager reports to the Business Operations Director and is responsible for managing PSI-SOM’s information technology, ICT infrastructure, MIS, Clinical Management Systems and ERP (QBE, E-procurement, HRIS, etc.) systems. The IS Manager will provide technical support in the development, and implementation Knowledge Initiative which improves technology collaboration.
Office IT Management:
Design, set up and regularly maintain server networks within the office with local and remote access; including file sharing and back up purposes;
Ensure secure, reliable and effective computing, networking and telecommunications facilities in PSI-SOM and provide advisory support to safeguard and protect PSI-SOM system for business continuity.
Manages PSI -SOM hardware and software package, their repairs observing warranty and in compliance PSI Global IT procedures and best practices;
Ensure that all computers (hardware and software), networks, printers and any other ICT devices are set up and regularly maintained.
Information Systems Management-Technical, Administration and Implementation
Microsoft Office support, Active Directory Maintenance, logging of problems in PSI-SOM SharePoint ticketing helpdesk system, and other mailing list management
Specialized application installation and support – ERPs- QBE, HRIS, E-procurement and Program Management systems
Assist with users e-mail account, creation, setup, archiving, termination and distribution group management
Liaises with PSI HQ on technological issues including upgrades, system backup functions, adopting and configuring new software and hardware standards.
Provide the technical support required to develop, adopt, implement and maintain knowledge Management systems: PSI SharePoint sites, teams, workflows, Collab groups, and other knowledge sharing technologies.
Train employees on how to use KM systems which enable processes that increase collaboration and efficiencies, reducing siloed approaches and platforms
Work directly with IT vendors in country to obtain support, repair and warranty information
Liaising with hardware and software vendors and ensures that technology facilities are current and provide services that meet business and user requirements considering business ethics: in terms of procurement compliance & supplier engagement
Work closely with Admin, Supply Chain and procurement teams in sourcing, distributing and tracking all hardware and software products.
Collaboration, Planning and Reporting
Lead the review, updating and disseminating Information Technology policies of PSI-SOMand ensuring staff are aware of it
Advice and lead efforts in procurement of new equipment for the office and the projects, with provision of technical specifications and information on best options in both local and international markets as well as existing LTAs, participating in the technical review of quotations and bids
What are we looking for?
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science
Minimum of 5 + years relevant experience in similar-sized organization
Minimum three years of managing Information technology and systems.
Extensive practical experience in networked environment and support for remote users and field offices.

Experience in supporting multiple projects and integrated programs in highly demanding environment.
