The Government of Somaliland has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Civil Service Strengthening Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the implementation of the CSSP Mechanism, a Government of Somaliland initiative to provide urgently needed skills, knowledge and expertise to recipient Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the Somaliland Civil Service. The Government of Somaliland is looking to recruit Heads of sections and officers for beneficiary MDAs as part of a major civil service reform initiative to rebuild the Somaliland civil service with competent and qualified middle level management staff.
The positions are envisaged to enhance the civil service capacity by providing the beneficiary MDAs with staff for civil service and common government functions (i.e. activities which cut across all ministries and agencies) and include the following:
